Apple 領先業界在推出的 QuickTimer Player 7 支援 H.264 視訊，這是第一個支援 H.264 的主要媒體播放程式。
Flash 9 Player 的新功能包含：
- Support for H.264 video and HE-AAC audio codecs (new Aug. 21).
- Multi-core support for vector rendering.
- Full screen mode with hardware scaling.
- Flash Player cache for common platform components, such as the Flex framework
