其中提到，他先試著用免費的 VirtualBox 來安裝 Windows 7 Beta 作為 Guest OS，不過 VirtualBox 似乎會產生一些問題，如 Guest Addition 和共享檔案夾失效等等。

作者另改用 VMware Fusion 2.0.1，在文章中提到安裝過程十分順利，而 VirtualBox 的問題也並未發生在 VMware Fusion 上，作者可以從 Windows 7 Beta 順利讀取和寫入 OS X 的磁碟。

此外，作者亦試著僅以 512MB 的記憶體來執行 Windows 7 Beta，而運行的狀況似乎也不錯，甚至比 Windows XP 還佳：

I'm happy to say that Windows 7 Beta runs comfortably in 512MB RAM. It runs as well or better than Windows XP with the same VMware Fusion resources allocated.

I've found some information in the provided URL about running the Win 7 beta on Macs through the virtual methods. Seems to me that Win 7 does not currently run on Parallels Desktop for Mac.

我前陣子也試了, 選擇 Windows Vista 來安裝過程很順利, 執行起來很正常, VMWare Tools 也是安裝完全沒問題. 設定 Vista 的話 VMWare Fusion 會預設割給它 1 GB RAM（我總共有 2 GB 硬體 RAM）, 跑起來順得不得了. 後來我手動調成 512 MB（忽略 Fusion 認為對 Vista 而言這樣太少的警告）, 不過執行速度也是很正常. 我沒有裝過 Vista, 不過比起我灌了一堆東西的 XP, 7 的速度完全不會佔下風. 簡單測試的結果, 我是覺得記憶體用量確實是比 XP 多, 但是微軟這次應該在效能和多工的部份有下很大功夫, 感覺就是順.

I think Parallels Desktop for Mac have already issue version updates which is now compatible with Windows 7 beta.
