OpenOffice.org 3.0 釋出
若您不怎麼喜歡 Microsoft Office，現在有個好消息報給你知道。OpenOffice.org 最近釋出 OpenOffice.org 3.0 供大眾使用。更棒的是，這是套免費的軟體。
3.0 版的新功能包含以下內容：
- Collaborative editing.
- XML support and XSLT based filter support.
- Import filters for MS Office file formats: .docx. xlsx, pptx.
- Read/write support for OpenDocument Format (OSF) 1.2.
- Re-introduction of partial support for Visial Basic for Applications.
OpenOffice.org 3.0 是免費的，可從 OpenOffice.org 網站下載。OpenOffice.org 提供了適用於 Mac OS X、Windows、Linux 及 Solaris 的版本。

OpenOffice.org 3.0 Beta 是在五月初釋出，而 3.0 的最終版本原先預計在九月中推出
OpenOffice.org 3.0 Writer：
OpenOffice.org 3.0 for Mac 的系統需求為 Intel 處理器，無須 Unix X11 環境即可使用，而 PowerPC 的版本仍為 2.4。
