iPod touch 2.1 版軟體更新
如同今天 Apple 在 "Let's Rock" 活動中宣佈的，Apple 釋出了 iPod touch 2.1 版軟體供 iPod touch 使用者更新。Apple 將會在 9 月 12 日為 iPhone 使用者釋出 iPhone 2.1 版軟體。

iPhone 2.1 Software Update for iPod touchThis version of the software includes the following improvements and supersedes all previous versions.
- Genius playlist creation
- dramatically reduced time to backup to iTunes
- improved email reliability, notably fetching email from POP and Exchange accounts
- faster installation of 3rd party applications
- fixed bugs causing hangs and crashes if you have lots of 3rd party applications
- faster loading and searching of contacts
- other bug fixes

在 iPod touch 上 (32GB，第一代)，iPod 軟體更新下載的檔案大小為 239.6MB。
iPod touch 2.1 版軟體 (正式名稱為 “iPhone Software 2.1 for iPod touch”) 可供使用 2.0 版軟體或更新版本的 iPod touch 用戶免費下載，其他用戶也可從 iTunes Store 下載，費用為 9.95 美元。
