Apple 介紹新 iMac
Apple 推出了新款的 iMac，標榜著晶瑩光滑的鋁質設計，新的 iMac 有 20 吋與 24 吋寬螢幕的機種可供選擇，整個顯示器包覆在高雅且專業風格的鋁質與玻璃材質中。速度最少有 2.0 Intel Core 2 Duo，最高可達 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme (含 4MB 的共享 L2 cache，先前最高可達為 2.33 GHz)，而支援的記憶體現在最多可到 4GB 的 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM 記憶體 (先前最多為 3GB)。AirPort Extreme 802.11n Wi-Fi 現在則為標準選項。
此 iMac 產品線訴求 ATI 新一代的繪圖技術，配備 ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO (含 256MB 的 GDDR3 記憶體) 與 ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT (含 128MB 的 GDDR3 記憶體)。最大的內置儲存空間現在高達 1TB。

而依據客戶需求來接單製造的選項與配備有：24 吋 iMac 可採用 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme 處理器、高達 4GB DDR2 SDRAM 以及高達 1TB Serial ATA 硬碟；2.4 GHz 的 20 吋 iMac 可採用 4GB DDR2 SDRAM 及 750GB Serial ATA 硬碟；2.0 GHz 的 20 吋 iMac 可採用 4GB 的 DDR2 SDRAM 及 500GB Serial ATA 硬碟。
新的 iMac 售價從 US$1,199 起 (較先前的 20 吋機型少 $300 美元)，而 24 吋的機型則從 US$1,799 起 (較先前的 24 吋機型少 $200 美元)。
