痛恨 Dashboard？
Tiger 新系統的 Dashboard 實在是個令人感覺蠻弔詭的功能（或特色），使用者有罵有批評的、讚揚的也不少；不過像 Nate 直接在 blog 中直言「我痛恨 OS X Dashboard」的，倒是少見，初看標題還以為他多麼討厭 Dashboard，不過他內文中提到「痛恨」是誇飾，他只是覺得那些 widget 反而是惱人罷了！「可以用書籤達到相同目的或功能，為什麼會想要使用小小的浮動視窗？」
Why would I prefer to have tiny little floating browsers when I can use a bookmark for all the same functionalities? Are there any of these things that are only useful in widget form? They kind of remind me of that MS Windows Active X desktop/web integration that nobody used.
Yes, I know “Ohhh! the flip” and they are transparent with rounded corners and 3D glossy gel button whatevers. So what? It’s still a calculator and a dictionary, and a bunch of other stuff I can get from my web browser.. which is already open.
只能說，Tiger 尚未發行時，許多人引領企盼的炫目功能，發行後可能是新鮮感過了、實際使用後又有點食之無味、棄之可惜的些許矛盾吧！
不過使用者對 Dashboard 的評價，其實有大部分的評價是建立在 widget 本身、而非 Dashboard 上，如果說使用者對 Dashboard 失望，倒不如說就目前為止，並沒有太多令人滿意或真正實用的 widget，因而使用者感到失望；但 Dashboard 作為一供 widget 展現或執行的平台，不見得不好！好不好用、每個人的使用習慣影響的因素可能大些，而且關鍵還是在 widget 本身、而非在 Dashboard 上...你也痛恨 Dashboard 嗎？:)

To me, most of time, dashboard is not used, but sitting there and eating up memory. That is the reason I don't like it. If they can make the widget much more efficient, dashboard will be a very good idea.

I don't like dashboard either. Actually it wastes more resoures than konfabulator does! Many people told me dashboard will take less memory before Tiger was released, but they were wrong. I don't think there are enough useful widgets in konfabulator. Neither in Dashboard. I really want to stop Dashboard.
