iTunes 4.8 新功能
今天稍早蘋果電腦釋出了 iTunes 4.8, 您也可以在蘋果網站的 下載頁面 看到這則更新。蘋果電腦提到 iTunes 4.8 包含了新的 Music Store 功能和支援傳輸通訊錄和行事曆到你的 iPod（“includes new Music Store features and support for transferring contacts and calendars from your computer to your iPod"）。插上 iPod 後你可以選擇同步你電腦上通訊錄中所有的連絡人、或者同步其中的群組；同樣地，你也可選擇同步全部的 iCal 行事曆或是所選的行事曆。
不過實際上新增的功能不只這些，在 iTunes 4.8 視窗的底部你會發現多了個顯示影片全螢幕的按鈕；沒錯，iTunes 可以播放影片並支援 QuickTime 列表管理，你可以試著拖拉一部 QuickTime 影片到 iTunes 4.8，它便會出現在左側 source 的窗格中。
此外，在 Playlist 網站上提到個有趣的功能，別忘了 iTunes 的轉檔功能（Convert），你還可以利用轉換檔案格式功能將拖入的影片轉換成音訊，即是擷取其影片的音訊（並不會影響到原來的影片）。
Another interesting movie feature is that you can convert the soundtrack of a movie file to the encoding format selected in iTunes Importing preference.
