new MacBook Pro with Retina display
The highlight of new hardware release during today’s WWDC 2012 Keynote is the new MacBook Pro with Retina Display. As the name indicates, the all new 15-inch MacBook Pro features a stunning Retina display, all flash storage and quad-core processors in a radically thin and light design. Measuring a mere 1.8 cm (0.71 inches) and weighing only 2.02 kg (4.46 pounds), the completely redesigned MacBook Pro sets a new standard in performance and portability for pro users.
The new MacBook Pro Retina display is the world’s highest resolution notebook display with over 5 million pixels, 3 million more than an HD television. At 220 pixels-per-inch, the Retina display’s pixel density is so high the human eye cannot distinguish individual pixels from a normal viewing distance, so text and graphics look incredibly sharp. The Retina display uses IPS technology for a 178-degree wide viewing angle, and has 75 percent less reflection and 29 percent higher contrast than the previous generation. 閱讀更多內容

iCloud Web Beta 上線

Apple did a lot at WWDC, but one of the most important things was that they gave developers the roadmap for where they are headed (at least in the short term). That’s big for the end user because we are relying on those developers to make the apps that we use.
別搞錯了 WWDC 的目的。
WWDC is not about Apple releasing new products for consumers to run out and buy. It’s about educating developers so they can make great products for consumers to buy.

今年 WWDC 的 Apple Design Awards 分成四個類別：學生、iPhone、iPad 和 Mac。
- 學生類: Grades 2、Pennant 和 Pulse News Reader。
- iPhone: Cut the Rope、Golfscape GPS Rangefinder 和 Infinite Blade。
- iPad: Osmos、Our Choice 和 Djay。
- Mac: Capo、Pixelmator 和 Anomaly: Warzone Earth。

iCloud 才是老大
Apple 在今年的 WWDC 上揭示了三大重點：iCloud、iOS 5 和 OS X Lion，新功能和新操作很多，不過其中比較值得注意的，應該是 iCloud 取代了 iTunes 作為數位資料中心 (看 iCloud 在網頁版面上所佔的比例大概就知輕重了)，沒有裝置之間同步不同步的問題，iCloud 就是中心，以它為主；你也不再需要透過有線傳輸或同步，無線儲存與推播會是接下來你最習慣的方式，就像新聞稿提到的：
iCloud keeps your important information and content up to date across all your devices. All of this happens automatically and wirelessly, and because it’s integrated into our apps you don’t even need to think about it—it all just works.
