解除安裝 Messages Beta 並裝回 iChat

Apple 在昨天開始提供 Messages Beta 給使用者免費下載使用。

如果你已經試用了 Messages Beta，而想要解除安裝，並在 Lion 上重新安裝 iChat，Apple 提供了一份有關 Messages Beta 的疑難排解文章：Troubleshooting Messages Beta。

1. From the Messages application menu, choose Uninstall Messages Beta….
2. A dialog will appear, asking you to confirm uninstallation of Messages Beta and reinstallation of iChat. Verify that you wish to do this.
3. Restart your Mac when prompted.

基本上，整個過程很簡單，從 Messages 應用程式選單選擇 “Uninstall Messages Beta…”，然後進行確認與驗證，再重新開機即可。

此外，Apple 還針對幾個常見問題，提供了說明與操作步驟，像是如何設定 Mac 與 iOS 裝置的 iMessage 對話、對話內容並未在所有裝置上共享、Apple ID 有問題等等。

從 OS X 10.7 開始，使用者應該都可以發現這個 Mac 電腦上用的作業系統，無論就介面或操作方式，都慢慢披上 iPad 或 iPhone 的影子，而這個每年推出一版的 OS X，看起來持續在朝著 iOS 化的方向演進；Apple 今天發表了 OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion 的預覽網頁，有興趣的朋友可以先一睹為快。

除此之外，John Gruber 也在他的網站上寫了一篇評論，也可讀讀：

Apple sees a fundamental difference between software for the keyboard-and-mouse-pointer Mac and that for the touchscreen iPad. Mountain Lion is not a step towards a single OS that powers both the Mac and iPad, but rather another in a series of steps toward defining a set of shared concepts, styles, and principles between two fundamentally distinct OSes.

字典，我們最喜愛的內建程式之一

Mac OS X 中的「字典」程式可能不怎麼起眼，不過也可能有不少人是衝著這個應用程式才購買 Mac 的；像是整合 Wikipedia、一次搜尋多個辭典、手勢支援…等等，這個應用程式到了 OS X Lion 無論是裡子面子都有所升級。

Dictionary apps aren’t sexy. Even Apple’s Mac app “Dictionary” doesn’t get stage time during press events. Yet, Dictionary is among the top reasons to buy Mac OS X Lion.

52 Tiger 為 Lion 中的字典做了重點介紹，像是多重字典選擇、編輯標籤、雙窗格顯示畫面，以及手勢支援。(當然，你還可以透過其他方式加入自己其他的字典，加入字典的資訊可在網路上找到。）

別遺忘了這個應用程式，雖然沒有花俏的介面，但很實用，一直是我們最喜愛的內建程式之一。
