市面上已經有不少傳訊軟體了，現在多了一位國產新成員，影音軟體大廠 CyberLink 前些日子推出了全新的通訊 App，名稱很直覺，就叫做 U，除了具備一般聊天與傳訊程式該有的功能外，如群組聊天、貼圖、相簿、語音訊息等等，還多了不少獨家的或再進化的功能，讓訊息不再只是死板版的訊息。

Viber 更新並推出 Desktop 版傳訊軟體
Adium 1.5 新版登場
Mac 上最受歡迎的傳訊軟體 Adium 推出新版本 1.5。這個新版本累積一年半的努力，包含了使用者介面上的改善、臭蟲修復以及許多程式內部的改良。
This release requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 and an Intel Mac. It is the first Adium release to feature 64-bit support. This means that you will need to update any plugins you have installed (notably Skype). As always, these can be found on our xtras site.
依照開發團隊在部落格中的說明，Adium 1.5 是首次支援 64 位元的版本，系統需求為 OS X 10.6.8 和 Intel Mac，你也需要更新曾安裝過的外掛程式，可以在 Xtras 網站上找到。
除了對 64 位元的支援外，還採用了新的 UI 圖像、改善聊天記錄檢視器和其他使用者介面上的改良。另外，為了讓使用者在沒有安裝 Growl 的情況下仍能收到通知 (因為 Growl 1.3 起開始收費)，Adium 1.5 採用了名為 Mist 的通知功能，不過程式本身還是支援 Growl (只要你自己有購買並安裝的話)。
最後，Adium 所用的 Libpurple 也更新到 2.10.0 的版本，其中已經移除對 QQ 的支援。

解除安裝 Messages Beta 並裝回 iChat
Apple 在昨天開始提供 Messages Beta 給使用者免費下載使用。
如果你已經試用了 Messages Beta，而想要解除安裝，並在 Lion 上重新安裝 iChat，Apple 提供了一份有關 Messages Beta 的疑難排解文章：Troubleshooting Messages Beta。
1. From the Messages application menu, choose Uninstall Messages Beta….
2. A dialog will appear, asking you to confirm uninstallation of Messages Beta and reinstallation of iChat. Verify that you wish to do this.
3. Restart your Mac when prompted.
基本上，整個過程很簡單，從 Messages 應用程式選單選擇 “Uninstall Messages Beta…”，然後進行確認與驗證，再重新開機即可。
此外，Apple 還針對幾個常見問題，提供了說明與操作步驟，像是如何設定 Mac 與 iOS 裝置的 iMessage 對話、對話內容並未在所有裝置上共享、Apple ID 有問題等等。
Messages Beta for Mac
跟先前 FaceTime 一樣，你不用等到下一版的作業系統推出才能在 Mac 上使用這個新應用程式。Apple 現在提供 Messages Beta 供使用者下載試用。
當你安裝 Messages 後，它會取代 iChat，但 iChat 服務仍會持續運作，Messages 也把 iMessage 移植到 Mac 上，就像其他執行 iOS 5 的 iPad、iPhone 和 iPod touch 一樣。
And Messages brings iMessage to the Mac — just like on iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch running iOS 5.
使用者可以發送無數則 iMessages 到任一台 Mac、iPad、iPhone 或 iPod touch，聊天與對話可以在電腦和行動裝置間接續進行，支援照片、影片、附件、聯絡資訊、地圖位置、FaceTime 視訊通話等等。
Adium 1.4.3
Adium 這套 Mac 上頗受歡迎的傳訊軟體釋出更新了，目前版本更新至 1.4.3；主要的更新與 Facebook Chat 和 MSN 有關。
Facebook will now connect via the officially-sanctioned mechanism (Facebook page on the API). You no longer have to provide Adium with your username and password; when you first log in, you will be prompted to authenticate via a facebook.com window. Existing Facebook Chat accounts are upgraded automatically.
